HM Hospitals Group Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology Service offers personalized and patient-centered clinical care.


At HM Hospitals, we have the best diagnostic and treatment resources, in close collaboration with the Integral Center of Neurosciences AC (HM CINAC) of the HM Puerta del Sur University Hospital, Medical Services and Surgical of all the Group Hospitals, and with the professionals, institutions or groups that entrust the Psychiatric and Mental Health Assistance of their patients.

The Service is made up of highly qualified and coordinated psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and nursing professionals to develop Individualized Care Plans with optimal professional and ethical standards in the context of a specially cared relationship with the patient and their loved ones.

From a diagnostic point of view, the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology Service has a wide catalog of Clinical, Laboratory, Psychometric, Neuro-imaging and other resources (Genetics). From a therapeutic point of view, it has a wide range of psychotherapeutic procedures (integrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, couple and group therapy, rehabilitation techniques, etc.) and biological (psychopharmacotherapy, electro-seizure therapy, magnetotherapy , psychosurgery, etc.) of contemporary psychiatry and clinical psychology.

In addition to the healthcare activity, the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology Service carries out regular teaching tasks (continuous training of the team, university training in the Medicine and Psychology Degrees and University Masters of the CEU San Pablo University and others); research tasks (own clinical research; integrated research at the HM CINAC) and technological innovation tasks.

The Service fosters a quality culture and policy on all the processes in which it participates. The care strategy, the activity of the professionals, the clinical-care processes, the undergraduate and post-graduate continuing education programs, the clinical information, the economic and material care indicators, the reorganization of human and material resources and other actions (such as alliances with patients, institutions and social entities) and evaluation are also priorities of the Service.
