Dr. Pablo Cardenal is a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at the University of the Republic (Uruguay), a former Marie Curie fellow from the PINET group focused on advanced lung imaging techniques; PhD from the European University of Madrid and postdoctoral degree in the Department of Medical Genetics of the Weill-Cornell University (USA).
He has extensive experience of more than 15 years as an intensivist in Uruguay and Spain. He has been part of the HM Hospitales family since 2015, both in the Emergency Service of the HM Sanchinarro University Hospital and as a biostatistician at the HM Hospitales Research Foundation.
He also has an extensive scientific production of more than 50 articles published in PubMed, mostly linked to respiratory diseases – acute respiratory distress syndrome, pneumonia and sepsis.
He is also a critic for several international journals, such as ‘Respiratory Medicine’, ‘Medicina Intensiva’, ‘Journal of Critical Care Medicine’ and ‘Chest’, among others.
