Pediatric
Pediatrics is the integral medicine of the evolutionary period of human existence from conception to the end of adolescence, a period whose uniqueness lies in the phenomenon of growth, maturation and biological, physiological and social development that, at each moment, is linked to intimate interdependence between inherited heritage and the environment in which the child develops.
Pediatrics deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all pathologies of children and adolescents from 0 to 21 years of age.
The tasks of current Pediatrics are divided into three large areas:
-Healthy child care (Preventive Pediatrics or Childcare)
-Care of the sick child (Clinical Pediatrics)
-Interrelationships between the healthy and sick child with Society (Social Pediatrics).
