• The award ceremony took place at the new HM Hospital Universitario Madrid Río with the presence of the president of HM Hospitales, Dr. Juan Abarca, and the general manager of Madrid Excelente, Elena Mantilla.
• Madrid Excelente is a seal of quality endorsed by the government of the region that is awarded after passing a rigorous evaluation process and is renewed every three years.
• For its award, all the company’s management areas have been evaluated based on four fundamentals: purpose, planet, people and progress, committing to continuous improvement.
HM Hospitales has renewed the Madrid Excelente seal, consolidating the Group as a set of cutting-edge health centres committed to excellence in the management and quality of the services provided to their patients. This recognition, given by the Community of Madrid through Madrid Excelente, reinforces its commitment to Madrid society, by offering quality, safe and patient-centred health care.
The Group first obtained the seal in 2002 after an evaluation of all areas of the company’s management based on four factors: purpose, planet, people and progress. Each of these factors is in turn divided into such important areas of evaluation as strategy, ethics and transparency, results, management and transformation, innovation, environment, society, employees, customers and suppliers.
Twenty-two years later, HM Hospitales has renewed its seal after successfully passing the annual review, in which the development of strategic planning guided by the organisation’s purpose, initiatives to protect the environment, the continuous evolution of the organisation and the development of activities aimed at caring for and satisfying people, have been assessed.
“For HM Hospitales, the renewal of this seal, which is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious in Spain related to excellence in business management, is a recognition of the daily work of the Group’s health and non-health professionals, who truly place the patient at the center of their actions and therefore in the promotion of the common good of society as a whole. We are grateful for the trust that Madrid Excelente shows us and without a doubt, this type of event reinforces our commitment to Madrid and Spanish society,” said Dr. Juan Abarca Cidón, president of HM Hospitales.
The award ceremony took place at an event held at the HM Hospital Universitario Madrid Río, in which Elena Mantilla, general manager of Madrid Excelente, got to know the facilities and professionals of the centre. During the event, she stressed that “for the Community of Madrid it is an honour that HM Hospitales, a leading hospital group in our region with 51 health centres throughout Spain, renews the Madrid Excellent quality seal.
